The Heart of My Story
I’ve lived my life breaking free from chains—of colorism, tradition, and bias—that tried to define my worth. My journey matters because I know what it feels like to be told you’re “less than,” yet I chose to rewrite my story, standing proud in my skin, my name, and my truth. The heart of my story is courage: the courage to challenge every bias and build a life where my daughter and I can be truly free. My journey has shaped me into someone who believes that every struggle is a step toward strength. Cheer for me—not because I am unscarred, but because I am unbroken.
